I saw this picture that of Steve Jordan posted by El Lobo...has anyone else seen him? I heard he is very sick. I don't know if he still plays at Salute here in San Anto, but I was just shocked to see this picture, this is not the Steve I remember. God bless him,

WHAT UP WOLF !
I read a recent article on Steve...and how pain accompanies him in each of his performances. He has been an inspiration to a personnal friend of mine, as to many others. But it's amazing how his einthusiasm cannot be crushed. Que dios lo acompane..

Steve is in bad shape but he keeps playing. This picture was taken when he was going through chemotherapy that's why he is wearing the newsboy cap. He is back on chemo as of August again but he still plays.
I have some videos of him on my youtube page.

Thanks Rick, it is even more urgent for people to try and catch a glimpse of him live if they have a chance. I understand he still plays at Salúte here in San Antonio every Friday (when he can). Peace
I am la buckeye from Bowling Green, Ohio. I went to visit my sister last week in the valley, but made the trip on Friday to the Salute Club in San Antonio specifically to see the maestro, I have been a fan for many, many years. (I have cassettes, okay?) I must say I also was shocked to see how weak and frail he looked, he is frightfully thin. It is obvious that walking is a struggle for the poor man and he was holding onto the fence as he was walking out of the club on the bands break. His sons have to help him put on and take off his accordion, even his vocals are very shaky . I must give him his props, as he jammed with his sons, especially on Volver, Volver that percussion set with his one son on the congas and him on the snares was off the hook. The man is a true genius. I hope he gets better soon, I wish him all the best, que Dios lo bendiga.
