God bless the American soldier. He gives so much to our country. I am remembering my cousin from San Antonio, Martin Ruiz, who died during the Vietnam war.

NPCMA and the whole Conjunto world mourns the death of Ruben Vela. Ruben's artistic talent and imagination helped create the sound now known as "Puro Conjunto". When you heard his music you knew it was Ruben Vela. You didn't have to be told. We join his family in mourning Ruben . God Bless them.
