Just 2 things:
1. My condolences to the Rodriguez family in the valley because of the passing of Tomas Rodriguez. He was a great bajo sexto player and is featured playing his music with Wally Gonzalez, Gilberto Perez and Pepe Maldonado and other great musicians. He was known as "el lobo", played with Pepe Maldonado. He was also a great guy and great human being. We will all miss him. God bless you my brother and may GOD keep you in HIS glory.
2. For those that didn't hear. La Reyna del Accordion, Eva Ybarra, recently experienced a great loss. Some lowlifes broke into her home while she was out playing a gig and stole all her instruments (a macias bajo, a morales birjuela, two bass guitars, a trumpet, and her only recording equipment where she produced her music. If anyone out there knows who did it or where she can recover her instruments, please contact the SAPD. There will be a fundraiser dance next month at the Royal Palace to help her out. Please help her out by coming out to the dance, there will be food. Those in the music world know how expensive these instruments are and the sentimental value is even greater.
